The credits page has evidence for my role.

Skills Commentary

my coding for my roles has gotten better. an example is when I made one of my first games with my team, my code for our character wasn’t the best and was very simple, now in our menus I have coded the animations for our menu and the different buttons to certain areas.

POST-PRODUCTION – REFLECTION

21st Century Skills

Ways of Thinking (Creativity, Innovation, Critical Thinking, Problem-Solving)

at the start of the year, I wasn’t able to think of as many creative ideas as I am able to now. before I wasn’t able to think of many things like what to do for the sound or design of a character. but now I have been able to think of my own ideas for our menus and make the designs for them.

Ways of Working (Communication & Collaboration)

before I did not communicate with my team about our game a lot. now i have communicated with them a lot more and it has helped us and me make our game better.

Tools for Working (Info & Media Literacy)

I use youtube for information on how to make certain things. and to learn different things that I could possibly make.

I coded the menu and made the menu and death screen and I made the animation for the menu

POST-PRODUCTION – REFLECTION

21st Century Skills

Ways of Thinking (Creativity, Innovation, Critical Thinking, Problem-Solving)

I thought creative with our start screen/menu by making the animations for the menu.

Ways of Working (Communication & Collaboration)

we asked each other for help with figuring out to do certain things that others may have known how to do

Tools for Working (Info & Media Literacy)

I used youtube tutorials to learn how to make a menu

Ways of Living in the World (Life & Career)

I developed life skills so u could be more professional and easy to work with in a workspace

Reactions to the Final Version

Hunter said he could not hear the sound, he also said he could not tell what the character was supposed to be before it started moving

Hunter also said that he could not tell that the background was a city.

Spencer said that the menu was good and nice to look at (pleasant to look at)

Self-Evaluation of Final Version

our game was pretty simple when it came to controls, they were pretty easy to understand. I did not think our start menu was as good as I expected it to be. the game had some good aspects to set it in the right kind of setting, for example, the start menu had buildings being destroyed by a kaiju. it was credible because all of the things made in the game were made by my group including the sounds. we all helped each other when we needed it with something. the story of our game was a kaiju/monster trying to survive an endless wave of other monsters.

POST-PRODUCTION – REFLECTION

21st Century Skills

Ways of Thinking (Creativity, Innovation, Critical Thinking, Problem Solving)

there were a few problems with the music because it would loop over itself when you go from the menu to the game

Ways of Working (Communication & Collaboration)

I tried to keep the game updated every time we added it fixed something and tried to keep it as close as we could to the original game. and every time we updated it we exported and put it onto itch.

Tools for Working (Info & Media Literacy)

most of the stuff we had on the game one of my team members had already known how to make. but I used the super looper website for the music in our game.

Ways of Living in the World (Life & Career)

helping my teammates come up with ideas for our game like some of the levels.

Reactions to the Final Version

there were some good/ helpful comments on the music.

Alex said he liked it but it could have been jokingly

Trenton said that the music was a little chaotic and it looped over itself and he said if it didn’t loop over itself then it would’ve been better

Self-Evaluation of Final Version

I think our game was pretty good when it came to the actual game itself but it was also a little plain and the music could’ve been a little less chaotic. it was a simple game though so it helped us learn more things about what we could do with future games.
